Altberg Mallerstang Extra Wide

The Mallerstang is the original Altberg classic Alpine style mountain boot. The Vibram ‘Ice Trek’ sole has a strong ‘heel lug’ for use with articulated crampons in winter conditions. The leather is 2.8mm thick Anfibio Culatte, which means it is from only the very best area of the hide. At Altberg we are one of the few bootmakers still making all leather mountain boots with the traditional materials and components; tried and tested for more than 20 years.

• Upper : 2.8mm Anfibio leather (Culatte) cut from only the very best part of the hide
• Lining : Sympatex® breathable 4 layer lining with military grade waterproof membrane interlayer
• Midsole : Tri-Flex® 3, mountain midsole graded to each individual size, strong torsional resistance and flex
• Sole : Vibram® Ice Trek winter/mountain sole. Deep rubber cleats with shaped PU midlayer cushioning Note: Sizes 13&14 use Vibram® Commando sole and micro cushioned midlayer

Size & Fit

• XN - We don’t normally sell extra narrow by mail order or online, only when a customer has previously worn Altberg boots or is sure of their fitting. 
• N - If you have narrow feet, then we suggest that you keep with your normal shoe size. 
• M - For medium feet we suggest that you go up ½ a size on your SHOE size – this will allow for a thick sock with the boots. 
• W - For wide feet we suggest that you go up ½ a size on your SHOE size – this will allow for a thick sock with the boots.
• XW - We don’t normally sell extra wide by mail order or online, only when a customer has previously worn Altberg boots or is sure of their fitting.
