Forge 3.0 is a backpacking boot designed for multi-day hikes on technical trails, with significant elevation gain and heavy packs. Now in its third generation, it delivers high levels of support and stability even on small footholds, making it a reliable companion on via ferrata routes as well. The polypropylene and fiberglass plate ensures excellent support, while the nubuck leather upper combines durability with a classic look. Forge 3.0 features Tecnica’s exclusive AST technology for a precise fit and is built with premium materials and technologies from Ortholite®, Gore-Tex® and Vibram®.

• BACKLOOP : The little loop helps the wearer to slide the foot in and out of the shoes effortlessly and can be used to hang them on your backpack or to the climbing harness.

• VIBRAM® XS TREK EVO™ OUTSOLE : The XS Trek EVO™ outsole is a complex adaptive design developed together with our partner Vibram®. The sole features four different areas with specific functionalities. Outer lugs are responsible for ground adaptability and stability in varied mountain terrain. Inner lugs deliver multidirectional traction while the front semi-climbing zone area offers increased technical approach performance. Finally, the self-cleaning channels keep the sole free from debris and mud.

• NUBUCK LEATHER : The upper is made of high-quality 1.9 mm thick leather, which naturally adapts to the shape of the foot and offers good breathability, while Nubuck leather is extremely hardwearing and ensures high scratch resistance.

• OVERLASTING PU RAND : Toes and lateral and medial areas are protected by a lightweight polyurethane rand that delivers protection, low weight and high abrasion resistance against rocks and debris. The rand extends into the forefoot, protecting the EVA midsole and increasing the overall durability of the shoe—ideal for demanding and technical terrain.

• METALLIC HOOKS + EYELETS : Metal eyelets ensure smooth lace glide for quick and precise adjustment over the instep. Lace locks positioned at the base of the instep secure the fit in this area, while open hooks on the tongue and collar allow for maximum adjustability in the upper part of the boot.

Technologies

•  ALL DAY COMFORT - By combining adaptive memory foams with pre-shaped thermoplastic inserts and a premolded footbed, the AST - Adaptive Shape Technology adapts the Forge to the shape of each foot. Designed around an anatomical last, the Forge holds the forefoot and heel firmly in place to provide all-day comfort during long treks on technical terrain.
• GROUND VERSATILITY - The Forge is equipped with a Vibram® XS Trek Evo™ sole designed to adapt to a wide range of wet and dry surfaces. Outer lugs provide ground adaptability and stability in varied terrain. Inner lugs ensure multidirectional traction; the semiclimbing zone adds climbing performance, and self-cleaning channels keep the sole free from mud and debris.
• STABLE SUPPORT - The Forge is equipped with a polypropylene lasting board placed on top of the outsole and midsole unit, providing stiffness and support on uneven technical terrain under heavy backpacks, while under the compressed EVA midsole sits an ESS rock plate that protects the forefoot from sharp rocks.
